This policy explains how Pulscale Ltd ("Pulscale", "we", "us") uses personal data about visitors to pulscale.com and people who join our waitlist or contact us. Pulscale Ltd is the controller of this data. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17352743; our registered office address is published under Company details in our Processing Register.

This policy does not cover data our customers process on the Pulscale platform. That is governed by each customer's agreement with us and described in our Processing Register.

What we collect

  • Waitlist details: your name, work email address and company, and, if you choose to give them, your job title, company size, area of interest and a business question.
  • Messages you send us by email.
  • Website usage: pages visited, referring site, device and browser type and approximate country, collected by Vercel Web Analytics in aggregated form and without cookies.
  • Technical data: IP address and request details, processed by our hosting provider to deliver the website and keep it secure.

How we use it and our legal basis

  • To manage the waitlist and send you the updates you asked for. Legal basis: your consent, which you give by confirming the link we email you. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • To understand interest in Pulscale and plan early access, using the details you gave when joining. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in planning our launch.
  • To reply to your messages. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a useful website.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our website and visitors.

Your name, work email address and company are needed to join the waitlist; everything else is optional.

Double opt-in

When you join the waitlist we email you a link to confirm. Until you confirm, we do not add you to the waitlist; your details exist only inside that link, which expires after 7 days. When you confirm, we record the date and time as evidence of your consent.

Who we share it with

We use the following providers, who process personal data on our behalf and on our instructions:

  • Resend: sends our emails and holds our waitlist contact list.
  • Vercel: hosts the website and provides website analytics.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

International transfers

Resend and Vercel are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Contact us for details of the safeguards that apply.

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist details: until 12 months after Pulscale becomes generally available, or earlier if you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
  • Emails you send us: up to 24 months after our last exchange.
  • Unconfirmed sign-ups: not kept by us. Our email provider keeps a record that the confirmation email was sent, for its standard log period.
  • Website analytics: aggregated statistics only.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can object to marketing or unsubscribe at any time, using the link in any email we send or by writing to us. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect anything we did before.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to address your concern first.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the website remembers it; nothing else is stored on your device by us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
